Privacy Policy

Introduction

This policy explains what Connected Energy Alliance collects when you visit connectedenergyalliance.com or register for one of our events, what we do with it, and the choices you have.

Connected Energy Alliance is operated by InTech Energy, Inc. DBA Sanalife Energy. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean InTech Energy, Inc. DBA Sanalife Energy. "You" means anyone who visits the site, registers for an event, or contacts us.

By using the site, you agree to the practices described here. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Information we collect

We collect information in two ways: what you give us, and what your browser sends us.

What you give us. When you register for an event or write to us, we ask for:

  • Your name
  • Your work email address
  • Your phone number
  • Your company and job title
  • Anything else you type into a form or an email

What we collect automatically. When you visit the site, we and our service providers collect:

  • Your IP address
  • The type of browser and device you use
  • The pages you visit, how long you stay, and the page you came from
  • Cookie and device identifiers

How we use information

We use what we collect to:

  • Run the site and keep it secure
  • Register you for events and send confirmations, reminders, and updates
  • Answer your questions
  • Send news and invitations about Connected Energy Alliance events, unless you ask us to stop
  • See how people use the site, and fix what isn't working
  • Measure and improve our advertising
  • Meet legal requirements

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies, pixels, and scripts. A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device. Some are session cookies, which disappear when you close your browser. Others are persistent cookies, which stay until they expire or you delete them.

We use three kinds:

  • Essential. These make the site work and remember your cookie choices. The site can't run without them.
  • Analytics. These tell us which pages people visit and how they move through the site. We also use them to test changes to pages.
  • Advertising. These help us measure our ads and show you ads for Connected Energy Alliance on other sites after you visit ours.

Our emails can also contain small image files, called pixels, that tell us whether a message was opened.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Where the site offers a cookie banner, you can also choose which non-essential cookies to allow. If you block them all, some parts of the site may stop working.

Third-party services we use

We rely on other companies to run parts of the site. They can see the information needed to do their job, and they handle it under their own privacy policies.

Google Analytics shares the data it collects with other Google services, and Google may use it to personalize ads on its own network.

How we share information

We share information in these situations:

  • With service providers, the companies listed above, so they can run the site, send email, measure traffic, and show ads.
  • For legal reasons, if the law requires it, if a court or government agency asks, or if we need to protect our rights, property, or safety, or those of other people.
  • In a business change, such as a merger, sale, or reorganization. If that happens, we'll tell you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
  • With your consent, for any other purpose you agree to.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have more rights than these. Contact us to ask about them.

Data retention, security, and transfers

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the reasons in this policy, or as the law requires. We keep usage data for a shorter time, unless we need it for security, to improve the site, or to meet a legal duty.

We work to protect your information with reasonable safeguards. No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, so we can't promise absolute security.

Our service providers may process information in the United States and in other countries, where data protection laws may differ from the ones where you live. By using the site, you agree to that transfer.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The newest version will always be on this page, with the date at the top changed. If a change is significant, we'll tell you by email or with a notice on the site before it takes effect.
